description means the maximum number of persons who can reside/vacation and sleep at the villa. This is the maximum number that the Italian state law and the Tuscany regional law will permit to inhabit this structure.
The numbers always refer to grown adults of average height and weight. If any of the beds in the villa rental or vacation apartment rental are not suitable for an adult then it will specifically be noted that the sleeping accommodations are appropriate for children or other.
The number next to the words MAX CAPACITY is compost of two parts:
Max Capacity 10 + 3
The first number makes reference to the number of fixed sleeping places, which means permanent beds. It may mean 5 queen size beds, or 3 queen size beds and 4 single beds, or any other number of combinations to be found in the Tuscan rental (details of this arrangement can be found underneath the Key Characteristic in the list.) The second number makes reference to the number of additional sleeping places which can be added upon request. Though sometimes these additional sleeping places maybe in a fixed or permanent bed, normally it refers to a sofa bed.
If the number does not have a second part it means that the Tuscan vacation rental is unable to accommodate more persons.
